I’ll wake up five times, get skunked four, and return for the few seconds when weather, season, and light transform a place. Those fleeting moments are what I’m looking for.

I learned to ski as a kid, raced growing up, and eventually moved to Jackson to chase snow and photograph it. What keeps me hooked is how rarely everything—conditions, light, athlete, and line—comes together perfectly. You can chase one frame all season, but when it finally happens, it’s worth every skunked day.

My own point of view only gets me so far. I’m more interested in learning what drives someone else—their hopes, fears, obsessions, and the way they see the world. That curiosity sits at the center of the athletes and stories I photograph.

Ever since being dropped on Canada’s Back River as a kid, I’ve loved the feeling of being days from the nearest road, with no service and no easy exit. Adventure tests your relationship with the unknown. Photographing those rarely seen places is still the sickest part of what I do.

Mountain Studies is my current fine-art collection, built around the quieter details that give mountains life: windblown snow, rock, shadow, and the way textures meet across a slope. The photographs are meant to hold their own while also living quietly within the spaces where they’re displayed.
