Process

My approach to weddings is shaped by a background in documentary and commercial filmmaking. Rather than directing every moment, I focus on observing the day as it unfolds paying attention to the small interactions, the atmosphere, and the details that make each celebration distinct.

The goal is simple: create films that feel as relevant in twenty years as they do today.

  • Before the day, I work directly with you to understand the tone, environment, and pacing of the wedding. This isn’t about shot lists or timelines it’s about identifying where the energy of the day actually lives, and how to capture it in a way that feels intentional.

    For larger or more complex events, this can include location scouting, lighting considerations, and coordination with planners to ensure the film integrates seamlessly without disrupting the flow of the day.

  • Coverage is approached with a minimal footprint and a focus on observation. I work mostly within the natural rhythm of the day capturing interactions, atmosphere, and the surrounding landscape as they unfold.

    The goal is not to document everything, but to isolate what actually matters. By staying attentive to both the significant moments and the subtle interactions in between, I’m able to create films that feel genuine and deeply personal.

  • The edit is where the film is built.

    Each project is cut as a standalone piece driven by tone, pacing, and music creating a relievable experience of the day. There are no templates, no formula, and no expectation.

    The rules are written from your experience of the day and how best to translate that back to a medium you can experience again for years to come.

    The result is a distilled film that reflects how the day felt, not just what happened.

  • I take on a limited number of wedding projects each year.

    The focus is a single, cohesive film.

    Most wedding commissions begin at $8,000 and are tailored to the scale and character of the celebration.

    Coverage may include wedding day filmmaking, welcome events, rehearsal dinners, multi-day celebrations, additional cinematographers, documentary edits, and custom deliverables.

    Every project is centered around a signature film designed to preserve not only what happened, but what it felt like to be there.
